Welcome to Baghdad

FoxNews was just showing live pics and sound from Baghdad. It sounded like a MAJOR battle! Literally hundreds of automatic weapons firing. Really, it sounded like WWII.

The reason? The Iraqi national team had just won a soccer game.

And people wonder why it's hard to get "security" here? This is a seriously armed populace.

Good luck to Our Boys. Firm but fair, and keep your powder dry!

The attacks in Iraq aren't terrorism, they're war crimes

People call the violent acts in Iraq resistance, or terrorism, or insurgence, etc.

Why don't people call them what they really are, war crimes?

The war is not over. No one surrendered. We said major combat operations were over, and they are (for now), but the war continues. As such, violations of the Geneva Convention in Iraq are war crimes. I realize that those committing these acts are not signatories. That does not change the true nature of what these acts are.

I don't bring this up to be pedantic. I bring it up to illustrate the utter moral depravity of those who oppose us.

Blowing up the Red Cross? War crime.

Targeting civilians? War crime.

Fighting in civilian clothes? War crime.

Using civilian dwellings to launch attacks? War crime.

If the media really want to be fair and balanced, they should use the term "war crime" now and then to describe these vile acts.

They eat their own young

Arafat once again shows that he regards "his own" with no more honor than he does anyone else. He'll do anything, stab anyone in the back, to remain in supreme power - even those closest to him, who have given him so much undeserved loyalty. He is a man without honor.

See this DEBKAFile story, on Arafat leaving Qureia swinging in the wind, just as he did Abbas, and just as he has the Palestinian people.
