Unintended consequences

I saw a fascinating little tidbit on FOX this afternoon. They were talking to former Ambassador Mark Ginsberg, a Middle East analyst that is often on their shows.

Ambassador Ginsberg was relating how he had spent quite a bit of time on Al Jazeera TV during the Democratic convention. The cool part is not only did they interview him, they had call-in questions from viewers from all over the Arab world. The viewers had never seen anything like this and were full of questions about what was going on. You'd maybe have expected the focus to be on America the Great Satan, but no, it was American Civics 101 they wanted to talk about.

Coolness. :)

Post-Convention Prognostications

A number of bloggers, having just watched Kerry's acceptance speech, are now predicting poor tidings for the Democrats.

American Digest claims an "Inevitable Bush Blowout", and soundfury predicts an implosion.

After having watched the convention, I stand by my post of April 28:

"I conclude that Bush is going to win very big. much bigger than the pundits think right now."

"This is what you support"

Mohammed at Iraq the Model has a post that I think everyone should read. He tells the pure, simple, honest truth.

New blogroll entry: Thomas P.M. Barnett

I found this fellow via Michelle Malkin, who recommends his analysis of the 9/11 report.

He's already given me pause several times already. I suspect he's going to alter my thinking in several areas. Good stuff, and thanks to Michelle for the pointer.
